how peace affects your anointing

Matthew 11:28-30  Come to me, all who labor and are heavy  laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I  am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke  is easy, and my burden is light.”

John 14:27  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to  you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled,  neither let them be afraid.

John 16:33 I  have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you  will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the  world.”

Why is peace and maintaining it so important to flowing freely in the anointing?  Why is it so important that Jesus is literally called “The Prince of Peace“?  When your mind is troubled, your focus is so effected your thinking and judgement become less sharp.  Your mind literally goes through chemical changes where you cannot recall words, certain events, and your judgement is not as keen if you are upset or afraid for a time.  Certain neurons are not able to connect as they should, and in the process deplete serotonin, which is necessary for our brains to work to full capacity and keeps us emotionally healthy!  Now we see why satan’s focus is to get us focused on what steals our peace.  If he can steal our peace, he can literally paralyze us with fear and anxiety making us completely incapable of being able to perform what is necessary in our day-to-day lives!

The following are examples, but not limited to, “peace stealers”:

Feelings of inadequacy

Rejection

Familial turmoil

High Stress Levels (can be due to your job, children, finances, etc.)

Poor economy

Grief

Prolonged sickness

Feelings of lacking wisdom or good judgement

Comparing yourself to others negatively

Lack of supportive friendships

Invalidation of self-worth

Guilt

The list can go on and on.  The important thing we have to recognize is summed up in realizing that in order to have the peace the Word tells us we are to LIVE IN, not on occasion, but to literally RESIDE in we must do the following:

1.  When the Holy Spirit brings conviction NOT condemnation (He will NEVER condemn you!) be quick to repent!  Repent in the Greek literally means to “change directions”.  One time, my mother-in-law and I went to West Texas to visit my sister-in-law and my nephews while my brother-in-law was away on business.  When our visit was over, (this is before GPS) we made a wrong turn.  We were talking and not paying attention as we should have been and didn’t notice we were off track for about 45 minutes!  Suddenly, my mother-in-law said, “Something isn’t right!  I don’t remember seeing any of this.”  She pulled the map out and began to look at the signs and found our route.  Sure enough, we were off course!  We had to turn around and change our direction to get where we were supposed to be going!  What if we had  so much pride we refused to admit we took a wrong turn?  We would not have made it home for some time and we would have looked pretty foolish!  It is so much easier to just say, “You know, I have had time to think about that thing and I was wrong.  We would be better off doing it another way!”  That simple tweak makes life easier on you and everyone else your decisions are affecting!  It is amazing how fast peace comes and pressure leaves!!  1 John 1:9

2.  Stop comparing your abilities, finances, successes/failures, looks, church membership, etc. with everyone else!  The Bible says those who compare themselves with others lacks wisdom and acts foolishly!  Paul even broached this subject when the people began to choose what orator they preferred.  Apollos was a very gifted speaker!  Paul was a gifted writer!  Some were saying they followed Apollos because he was a “better” preacher than Paul.  Other said they followed Paul because he was a better writer and very sound.  Paul finally had to say something!  He had to remind the people you don’t credit people or ministers!  One plants, one waters, but it is God that gives growth to the seed.  God is our focus and the One we credit and give glory to!  I have seen so many people say, “I don’t want to be a missionary, pastor, Sunday School teacher, etc.”  We are to say yes to whatever God ask of us!  One gift is not better than another and all are necessary for a healthy body within the church!  You are not greater than or less than because you have compared your calling to someone else’s and decided it will not have as much of a profound  impact as another person’s gift may have!  God is using you in ways you cannot even imagine!  Stay in His calling and you will stay in His will!  This includes your occupation, financial income, etc..  You are equal to all where you are, and you have great purpose!  Bloom where you are planted until you are transplanted to where God has given you vision to be!  2 Corinthians 10:12 (THE SIN OF COMPARISON)

3.  Let go of your and anyone else’s past that hinders or affects your peace!  The Bible says that anyone who puts their hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God (Luke 9:62)!  Those are strong words!  Why?  Because, nobody ever accomplished anything by not looking at where they were plowing, except to have to do double work!!  I grew up in the country and my grandfather always had a garden.  He was extremely methodical with the rows and how straight they were and how far apart they were.  He would measure them out length and width.  He would put stakes in the ground and tie string to the stakes.  He made sure the stakes were very taut and did not sag to where the weather would cause them to lose their shape.  One patch of that land would be corn, another tomatoes, another peas, another cucumbers, etc..  He watched that garden DAILY making sure not one blade of grass grew up to overtake his crop!   If he had not been so meticulous and plowed those rows just so, one crop could have easily choked out another and everything would have been out of control!  We would not have had my grandmother’s delicious cooking from all of my grandfather’s hard work!  His work would have actually been harder, more frustrating, and maybe he would have quit had he not plowed those rows so precisely!!  He had to look forward to get it RIGHT, and we do, too precious reader!  You can’t change the past, so there is no use in dwelling on it.  Learn from it, but keep moving ahead in God.  It is forgiven, forgotten by Him, and He has too much for you to do for you to waste time!!  There is work to be done, and it is time to get up and do it!!

Stay in God’s cocoon of peace.  Times are not always easy.  We DO have trouble on every side, but we are more than overcomers through CHRIST JESUS Who ALWAYS gives us a surpassing victory!!  You will come through, be better than before, and all WILL be alright if you continue to trust Him!  I believe you surely will!!

Blessings to you, my precious reader!!  I will see you soon!!   Juliana
