I have a Facebook page that I post on and it is connected to ‘simplyjuliana’. Once a week, I go and look at my stats to see how the page is doing. When I looked last week, I was surprised to see it wasn’t doing well at all! In fact, for the second week the stats looked terrible! Now, you all know you are like my best friend and I tell you everything (almost). I have said many times you might as well be sitting across the table from me drinking coffee! I really wondered if I should tell you then the Lord began to speak a devotional to me so that put that question to rest!
When I looked at those stats I thought, “Well, this thing is dying! What am I going to do?” I thought it through further and thought about how it was God‘s page not mine and He would tell me what to do. The next thought that came to my mind was a very nonchalant (totally unlike me!!) “If it lives it lives, if it dies it dies! I am not going to worry about it. This is God’s page and if He is ready for it to end who am I to get into works and try to keep it going??” At that point, I literally went my way and FORGOT it! I forgot it so well I forgot to post on it for a day or two!
One day I realized I had not taken care of the page. I thought anxiously at first, “Oh, no I completely forgot about my Facebook page!” The Lord reminded me of my words and to not get into worry about it! His will is best, and all I had to do was follow His lead. I thought to myself it was probably on the way out so I posted about five pictures and left it alone. The next day I did the same thing. I think I may have posted eight that day, no more. SUDDENLY, countries that had never been to that page were coming and not only were they coming but were “liking” it. That is what you call it when someone follows your page!
Before, I would post and post and post and I might get three likes on what I was posting! Those three likes came from one of my dearest friends, I think because she felt a little sorry for me! LOL! God bless her darlin’ heart! This time, people I had never heard of were liking what I was posting and reading the blog articles!! This was another rare thing! I wiped my eyes and I looked again! Nope, I wasn’t seeing things!
I hit the “stats” button! Instead of in the red, I saw green arrows and high statistical numbers!! I thought to myself, “What is happening and how did it happen???” The Lord spoke to me and said, “You committed it to me and didn’t worry about it.” I almost said, “No, Lord that can’t be it that is just too easy!” LOL!!! Have you ever told God He might be wrong for the first time in all of history?? Don’t you know we look so silly when we do that! I can just see Him look over at Jesus and the Holy Ghost and They all just shake Their heads! Since then, the page has done well. I haven’t worried about it and when it is time to bury it, I will and move on to whatever God has planned for me next!
As I was telling hubby and SHOWING him…this is one of God’s show and tell things…He shows out and I get to tell about it, the Lord spoke to me a story in the Bible. I looked it up and it will bless your socks off. Let me give you some background information on it. There were four lepers outside the city gate. The reason they were outside the city gate, separated from their loved ones and the rest of the community, was because leprosy is highly contagious! It is a disease that eats the human body alive! Whenever someone would pass by a leper in the Biblical days they would have to call out “UNCLEAN, UNCLEAN, UNCLEAN!!” That passerby knew to stay away from them! Their lives were just horrible and they were surely going to die. One night these four lepers said to one another, “Let’s go into the enemy’s camp. What will it hurt, we are dead anyway. If they kill us, they kill us. We weren’t going to live!” Well, let me let you see the rest of this incredible thing God wrought for them!
3 Four men with a skin disease were at the entrance to the gate. They said to each other, “Why just sit here until we die? 4 If we say, ‘Let’s go into the city,’ we will die there because the famine is in the city, but if we sit here, we will also die. So now, come on. Let’s go to the Arameans’ camp. If they let us live, we will live; if they kill us, we will die.”
5 So the diseased men got up at twilight to go to the Arameans’ camp. When they came to the camp’s edge, they discovered that there was not a single man there, 6 for the Lord[a] had caused the Aramean camp to hear the sound of chariots, horses, and a great army. The Arameans had said to each other, “The king of Israel must have hired the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to attack us.” 7 So they had gotten up and fled at twilight, abandoning their tents, horses, and donkeys. The camp was intact, and they had fled for their lives.
8 When these men came to the edge of the camp, they went into a tent to eat and drink. Then they picked up the silver, gold, and clothing and went off and hid them. They came back and entered another tent, picked things up, and hid them. 9 Then they said to each other, “We’re not doing what is right. Today is a day of good news. If we are silent and wait until morning light, our sin will catch up with us. Let’s go tell the king’s household.”
10 The diseased men went and called to the city’s gatekeepers and told them, “We went to the Aramean camp and no one was there—no human sounds. There was nothing but tethered horses and donkeys, and the tents were intact.” 11 The gatekeepers called out, and the news was reported to the king’s household.
12 So the king got up in the night and said to his servants, “Let me tell you what the Arameans have done to us. They know we are starving, so they have left the camp to hide in the open country, thinking, ‘When they come out of the city, we will take them alive and go into the city.’”
13 But one of his servants responded, “Please, let messengers take five of the horses that are left in the city. Their fate is like the entire Israelite community who will die,[b] so let’s send them and see.”
14 The messengers took two chariots with horses, and the king sent them after the Aramean army, saying, “Go and see.” 15 So they followed them as far as the Jordan. They saw that the whole way was littered with clothes and equipment the Arameans had thrown off in their haste. The messengers returned and told the king. 16 Then the people went out and plundered the Aramean camp.
It was then that six quarts[c] of fine meal sold for a shekel[d] and 12 quarts[e] of barley sold for a shekel,[f] according to the word of the Lord. 17 The king had appointed the captain, his right-hand man, to be in charge of the gate, but the people trampled him in the gateway. He died, just as the man of God had predicted when the king came to him. 18 When the man of God had said to the king, “About this time tomorrow 12 quarts[g] of barley will sell for a shekel[h] and six quarts[i] of fine meal will sell for a shekel[j] at the gate of Samaria,” 19 this captain had answered the man of God, “Look, even if the Lord were to make windows in heaven, could this really happen?” Elisha had said, “You will in fact see it with your own eyes, but you won’t eat any of it.” 20 This is what happened to him: the people trampled him in the gateway, and he died.
The Arameans had come to attack God’s people…some people obviously never learn because they are still trying to destroy Israel and us with it, and it hasn’t happened yet! You would think they would get the message!! God MADE…get that, precious reader! GOD MADE!! I don’t care what trouble you are facing, if God has to do a CREATIVE MIRACLE, HE WILL!!! God made them sound like a fierce army! It scared the enemy so bad they ran and left the riches of their camp right where it lay! In fact, God MADE such a noise in their heads, they stripped their clothes off so they could run faster!! I don’t know about you, but I am rolling with laughter right now! These men got the wealth of the camp and the enemy got stripped and they got that, too! I am telling you, precious reader, GOD WILL STRIP THE DEVIL OF ALL HE HAS STOLEN AND GIVE YOU A SEVENFOLD RECOMPENSE!
It tells us in Proverbs 6:31 But if he is found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give up all the goods
of his house.
See why they STRIPPED?? “God don’t like ugly!” 🙂
God does not play, lie, or exaggerate! He means what He says and He does what He says! I don’t care what your enemy has huffed and puffed at you! I don’t care how long he has huffed and puffed at you! God is for you and nobody can be against you!! There is no sickness Jesus hasn’t already whipped! There is no bully, whatever form they come in, that He can’t replace for your sake! He will even strip the enemy of the clothes on his back, to bring you your full recompense if that is what it takes! If that doesn’t make you shout, something is wrong! Repent and get it right in a hurry, God can’t move on your behalf until you start believing Him!
Blessings to you, precious reader!! Start expecting and see the full salvation of the Lord! I will see you soon! Juliana
