the devil is under my feet

Today I started walking on the treadmill, again.  I decided instead of listening to my favorite list of songs I do my walk to, I would use this time to pray in the Spirit!  As I did the Lord began to speak to me about this scripture.  When Jesus was raised from the dead, and He ascended to Heaven, His enemies (the devil and all of his imps) were made not only His footstool, but they were put under our feet as well!

Ephesians 1:19-23

Amplified Bible (AMP)

19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,

20 Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],

21 Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.

22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church],

23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].

When the Lord reminded me of this He gave me this example.  If I am standing on stairs, then boards are under my feet.  I walk on top of those boards to go higher!  If I am standing on the floor, there is concrete under my feet.  I walk across on the concrete to reach my determined destination.  If I am walking on the treadmill, the treadmill is under my feet and I walk on it until I have completed my workout to the point I want the workout to go!  It is no different with satan.  He and his imps are under my feet as a Christian because I am part of the body of Jesus Christ!  I walk all over him and his plans,  but the BEAUTY OF IT ALL is the fact that with all that satan has planned, plotted, tried to use, and abuse me with,  all of it is merely STEPPING STONES TO MY DESTINATION!!!    GLORY TO GOD!!!  Every word spoken against us, is a stepping stone closer to destiny!  Every rejection is a stepping stone to the prize of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus!  Every plan satan tries to concoct against us  is just a step closer to the higher things God has planned out for us who love Him!!

There is a scripture in the Old Testament that says this:

Isaiah 40:4  Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough
ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.

Do you know what this means, precious heart?  It means that the depressed places of your life are going to be lifted to great victories and replaced with great joy!  It means that every high thing that seemed unreachable is going to be made low so they are attainable!  It means that all of the rough times shall be made smooth and easily walked through to open doors of fresh anointings and the glory of God that lays ahead for you!  It means those mountains that blocked you, will be brought low and will be STEPPING STONES for you to walk across to the promise God has had waiting!!  This makes me think of that song that says, “Get up off your seat and start to dance!”  Dance before the Lord.  Visualize the enemy under your feet as you praise Him and stomp and bruise his head!!  GLORY TO GOD!!

Remember the battle is the Lord’s and the victory is yours through Christ our Lord!!!  Blessings to you, precious reader!  I will see you next time!

God bless you! I'd love to hear your thoughts!
